Leila Hijazi is a distinguished Lebanese strategist and thought leader whose career bridges the realms of public policy, institutional communication, diplomacy, and economic development. She currently serves as Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Social Development at the General Union of Arab Producers, where she designs and implements regional strategies fostering Arab cooperation, sustainable growth, and social advancement across key economic and media sectors. As a Board Member of the World Women Organization (WWO), Leila Hijazi contributes to global programs that promote women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and participation in policymaking. Her work within WWO emphasizes partnership-building between Arab and international institutions to create inclusive and sustainable frameworks for development. In addition to her institutional roles, Leila Hijazi was appointed Middle East Ambassador for the Racing City Group, an international sports and investment entity connecting football clubs, academies, and federations across Europe and the Middle East. In this capacity, she champions the organization’s regional vision to build bridges between nations through sports diplomacy, youth empowerment, and cross-cultural collaboration. Earlier in her career, Leila Hijazi served as Public Relations and Media Advisor to the Prime Minister of Lebanon, where she played a vital role in enhancing government communication, public outreach, and strategic coordination between the media and decision-making institutions. Beyond her professional leadership, Leila Hijazi is the founder of “Sawt Mesh Marhoon” (“A Voice Not Owned”) a socio-political platform dedicated to fostering independent thought, civic dialogue, and a renewed sense of Lebanese identity grounded in integrity and national consciousness.
In addition Leila Hijazi worked with the United Nations ESCWA Center for Women, where she contributed to regional programs focused on gender equality, social justice, and women’s participation in public and economic life across the Arab region.
